Beginning this evening with the Japanese shards and continuing through each shard’s normal maintenance cycle, Publish 98.2 will be released world wide.  Read the full notes here.

Veteran Rewards

• 4 Year ? Monster Statuettes that play a sound when locked down and activated within a house,

Holiday Rewards

• All players logging into a production shard that are at least 30 days old between December 1, 2017 at 12:01am ET and December 31, 2017 at 11:59pm ET will receive a holiday gift token
• Each gift comes with a gingerbread cookie inside one of 8 common gift boxes and 1 rare gift box available in a variety of hues, including 8 rare hues.
  • Holiday Bells ? each “embossed with the likeness” of one of 36 different characters from Ultima history
  • Holiday Ribbon ? each “hand tied” by a member of the Event Moderator team
  • Candy Cane ? each “hand dipped” by a member of the UO Development Team
  • Firefly Garland ? each “hand strung” by one of 26 different creatures
    • Animated item that is also a light source which can be toggled on an off by double clicking.
  • Jewelry Box
    • House add on that must be locked down to use.
    • Can be dyed with furniture dyes, natural dyes, and pigments
    • Holds up to 500 pieces of jewelry and requires 1 lockdown

Artisan Festival

The Artisan Festival returns for another year with new rewards, reverse city order and revised submission thresholds!

• New Virtue & Vice-themed rewards
  • Sculptures ? animated item that can be toggled on and off by double clicking
    • Chalice, Tear Drop, Moon, Skull
  • Lanterns ? animated item that is also a light source which can be toggled on and off by double clicking.
    • Scales, Crook, Coin, Sceptre
  • Pillow ? decorative throw pillow with updated art, replacing previous versions of the pillow
    • Swords, Ankh, Mask, Axe
  • Painting ? decorative wall painting
    • Heart, Hand, Broken Shield, Unbalanced Scales
• This year the festival will begin in Yew and loop backwards through all loyalty cities.
• City treasuries must have at least 1,000,000gp to kickoff the event, this remains unchanged from last year.
• Adjusted the cooldown between cities from 24 to 17 hours
• Reduces the requirement for points needed to advance the tree to the final two tiers.

Bug Fixes

• Grizzled Mares can now use advanced pet training.
• Added cancel option to the advanced pet training menu.
• Added option to scale the size of Generic Gumps in the Enhanced Client.
• Enhanced Client particle filters now properly filter out location based effects.
• Resolved issue with pet Skree AI spamming Greater Cure.
• Resolved spawning issue with Treasures of Halloween on those shards impacted.

Halloween ? Treasures of the Sorcerer’s Dungeon

• The popular Halloween Treasures event returns!  This year, the Sorcerer’s Dungeon has been taken over by the Pumpkin King!
  • Event will be active on production shards through November 14th, 2017.
• Slay creatures inside the Sorcerer’s Dungeon to summon the Pumpkin King’s Minions!
• Defeat the minions to face the Pumpkin King himself!
• Recover Artifacts of Enchanted Origin to keep, or exchange for rewards from the Researcher outside the dungeon entrance,
  • Jack’s Bag of Tricks
    • Usable during the month of October, this bag of tricks can be used once per day to see what goodies are inside Jack’s bag!
    • Collect candy, or if you’re lucky a rare item including,

Halloween ? Trick or Treating

• Trick or Treating returns with a new treat ? the flaming scarecrow!
• Saying “Trick or Treat” to an NPC will have a chance at a variety of tricks and treats!
• Trick or Treating will be active through November 14th, 2017 on Production
• Visit the gates in New Haven on TC1 before testing.

Halloween ? Zombie Skeletons

• Beware of graveyards this Halloween ? zombie skeletons return with new skeletons to add to your collection!
• Players who face death through November 14th, 2017 have a chance to see their spirit reincarnated as a skeleton in one of Britannia’s graveyards.
• Skeletons come in a variety of styles with a chance of rare hues!

Halloween ? Jack o’ Lanterns

• The pumpkin patches of Britannia are once again fertile with pumpkins to carve and add to your collection!
• Look for a new round pumpkin to carve into two new designs, an owl and cat!
• Pumpkins and Butchers will be active during the month of October on Production.

Horn of Plenty

• The Horn of Plenty has been updated with a new rare item ? the Ale Table!
  • House addon that animates and serves a tasty ale when used!

Huntmaster’s Challenge

• New creatures and trophies have been added to the Huntmaster’s Challenge,
  • Triceratops & Lion
• Newly hunted and taxidermied tigers will now produce a trophy matching the animals color.

20th Anniversary Arc

• A multi-part arc will be active on production shards during the months of August & September, 2017.  Keep an eye on UO.com for new fiction and updates.

Pet Adjustments

• Pets with Magery no longer teleport to player target when out of range or cast Mind Blast on player targets.
• Advanced Pet Training Process: Pet slots are no longer adjusted by the pet training process. Pet slots are only adjusted when tamed.
• Removed SDI cap damage vs Pets.
• Players can now parry pet special moves.
• Increased Pet damage reduction vs Players from 30% to 50%.
• Direct damage cap for pets is now based on Pet’s HP and can exceed 35.
• Special move AI now properly sets a 30 seconds cooldown for pets vs players.
• Advanced Pet Training Process: Special Move Bladeweave now requires the additional Bushido skill when trained.
• All pets which have been exploited  by releasing or death will have the following stats reset and incur a penalty to their advanced pet training. Strength, intelligence, dexterity, hit points, stamina, mana, base damage, and all resists will be reset to defaults.

Bug Fixes

• Taming Mastery Combat Training can now be broken when the caster is out of range, dead, or paralyzed.
• Taming Mastery Combat Training Consume Damage is now capped on pets at 45 HCI and 30 HPR.
• Enhanced Client: Decreased the default scale of all generic gumps from 1.5 to 1.06.
• Classic Client: Resolved issue with non players moving north on block tiles which resulted in jumping positions.
• Pet skills which are required for AIs will now be set to their required minimums.
• Classic Client: Resolved issue with quantity text entry not working when dragging stacked items.
