Greetings,
We are well into 2020 and the UO Team hopes your new year is shaping up to be better than ever! We are excited to share some updates coming to Ultima Online in 2020!
Publish 108 will mark the first publish of this year! We have been working on some great content for 108 that includes IDOC changes, new Veteran Rewards, Ultima Store Items, and PvP Balancing Changes.
One of the first upcoming changes we would like to discuss is about IDOC houses. We have heard a great deal of feedback regarding IDOCs and would like to share the following changes that will be coming in Publish 108,
- The current decay state of the house will no longer be displayed on the house sign.
- The house owner will receive a message when stepping onto the steps of the house as to the current decay status of the house.
As mentioned we have been working on some PvP Balancing Changes that are already in testing. If you haven’t had a chance to check them out, head over to the UO Forums and join the conversation!

For those that have been following the amazing fiction writing of EM Malachi, we invite you to check out the latest installment below, Omens.
Looking ahead to the rest of 2020 we are working on some changes that will allow us to more effectively deliver the content you have come to enjoy throughout Britannia. A big part of that is our Event Moderator program. After 12 years, the Ultima Online Event Moderator team has conducted thousands of in-game events to keep true to the idea that Britannia is a living, breathing, world. We are so fortunate to have such a hard working and creative group of people devoted to keeping that idea alive. To better serve all shards I have teamed up the Event Moderators and expanded their coverage to include 3 shards. This will help EMs by providing more support to foster a creative environment and deliver bigger and better EM content. I would also like to say to those EMs who have recently left the program, thank you for your service and know you will be missed!
To help facilitate the EMs and give them greater variety in the types of events they can setup we are also working on some internal tools to support them. We are really excited to see the results of these tools in action and can’t wait to see what the EMs come up with!
So what else is in store for UO this year? The team has spent the better part of January thinking about what the future of Britannia looks like. For over two decades players from all over the world have been part of the Ultima Online experience. Those players have forged a legacy that will live on for generations. For those who have been part of that legacy, you know the joy and excitement that comes with calling yourself a Britannian. To build on that legacy and bring Ultima Online to the largest audience ever, the team is in the early stages of designing and building our biggest and boldest endeavor in over a decade! We are incredibly excited about the future and cannot wait to share the journey with you!

- The Fellowship Shop will be closing and the mini-quest in Blackthorn’s Dungeon will be cleaned up.

The flames consumed the parchment, the blackened edges echoing the paladin’s mood. After five failed attempts to write down his thoughts, Dupre had given up and finished packing his kit.
The soldier had done his duty. The ship he was responsible for had returned to port with all hands. Despite his own injuries and fatigue, Dupre had been part of the detail to move the critically wounded to the city’s healer. He had made sure he was not needed elsewhere. Vesper was safe. The threat of the Eventide had passed.
Dupre was on his way out of his room at the inn, when he bumped into the last person he wanted to see. Geoffrey gave his friend a surprised look but then held up a roll of bandages and a bottle.
“I’d heard you’d returned to your room. I was worried you might have an injury you’d refused to let the healer see to.”
Adjusting his pack, Dupre frowned. “I was about to head out.”
“Leaving town after a battle without rest or even a celebratory toast isn’t like you. We won, didn’t we?”
“We did the job and came back.”
“What’s wrong? What did you see out there?”
“I don’t want to talk about it. You can read my official report.”
“We all know things are left out of those. As your friend, I want to know what really happened.”
Dupre sighed and put down his pack. Taking a seat, he accepted the bottle from Geoffrey and took a swig. “Where to begin? The sea was dark with Jack’s ships. It was hard to tell where the decks and bodies began, and the whole bloody fleet screamed. Some of the younger sailors seemed ready to flee, but there was nowhere to go. I let them borrow the flask of liquid courage I keep for just such times.”
“I know such magic is terrible, but you must have seen worse during the fall of Trinsic. I remember how you rallied people even as we abandoned the city.”
“Necromancers make my skin crawl, but I stayed focused on the job. We did our best to fight off the bloated swimmers that tried to board, but we knew we needed to scuttle the ships. We were in position for a broadside against the flagship when I saw the face of Shamino. Our friend’s head, propped up on the prow like a trophy!”
Geoffrey grimaced but let him continue.
“Shamino’s head didn’t scream like the others. It spoke in a rasping voice. It said my name! It knew things only the ranger would have known. When our cannon blast knocked the head into the water and the head was sinking beneath the waves, it gave a final ill omen: ‘Do not be sad, not with a thread so short.’”
“It was a necromancer’s trick, to upset and confuse.”
“Maybe. Maybe not. These are uncertain times for the entire world, but I can’t be ruled by doubt. I need to know. Even if my life is near its end, I must know where I am needed.”
“What do you plan to do?”
“There was a seeress I met years ago, Penumbra. The Daughter of the Eclipse might have answers, so I will find her.”
“I don’t suppose the lone paladin needs allies on his quest?”
When Dupre shook his head and stood up, Geoffrey said, “Safe travels to you then.”

Yes! We really like this idea for holiday themed headware! Turkey hat anyone?
2. Can you please add more costumes to the Talisman Tools?
Yes! We can add new costumes to obtain from the Khal Ankur encounter.
3. Can you update the list of items that can be engraved like the jewelry box, gargish sculptures, and the treasure map coin purses?
Yes, we can add these items to their respective engraving tools.
4. Can you add new art for existing artifacts like the Tangle and Hephaestus?
We like to include new art styles of existing artifacts wherever we can. So far the conversion of things like Hawkwind’s Robe to the Tabard has been very popular. If there are specific items you would like to see or specific styles of equipment, weapons, or accessories please let us know!
5. Can you allow barkeeper names to change?
We can look into adding this option for the barkeep interface.

For the billing support at support@ultimaonline.com to sufficiently verify ownership of an account you wish to recover, information that is currently set on the account has to be verified. Please note that account recovery requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
If a secret word is saved on the desired account(s), we will be happy to provide the secret word hint(s).
Accounts that have been closed within the last year require the secret word and 2 pieces of information.
Accounts that have been closed for more than a year require only the secret word, if a secret word is not set then 4 pieces of information are required.
Information used for verification are as follows:
- Account name
- First and last name
- Date of birth
- Phone number
- Key codes
- Payment information (CC)
- Date account was open/closed
- State/country

EA ORIGIN – ORDERS, CODES, AND THIRD PARTY RESELLERS
Sovereigns Coin Codes purchased from EA Origin have to be redeemed on the Account Center; you cannot enter these in game.
Sovereign Coin Codes that have been redeemed are bound to the EA Account they were redeemed on and are only usable by the accounts linked with that EA Account; Sovereign Coin currency may not be transferred.

You may have noticed that Origin Store purchases made did not arrived as expected. The Origin Store enacts reviews on all transactions to safeguard against fraudulent purchases, and these reviews may take up to 72 hours. THIRD PARTY RESELLERS
We would also like to reiterate that the Origin store is the only guaranteed provider of codes for Ultima Online. The validity of a code purchased from a third-party seller (be it a friend, in-game acquaintance, or recommended site) cannot be guaranteed. Furthermore, any codes we find to have be fraudulently obtained will be disabled and an account that applies any of these codes will have that code removed from said account. This can result in the loss of game time, character slots, expansion access, Sovereigns (and the items purchased with them), in-game items and more. Please be advised that we cannot assist with any issues stemming from codes purchased via non-Origin means; you will be required to contact the vendor from which you purchased the code for further assistance.
