みなさん、こんにちは

1997年9月24日、コンピュータゲームの新時代が始まりました。世界中から集まった何千人もの冒険者たちが、巨大な仮想世界で新しい人生を築くために旅立ちました。 24年経った今でも、ウルティマオンラインは冒険をし、友情を育み、親しい友人と一緒に不満を解消する場所であり続けています。UOチームは、世代から世代へと続くレガシーを築いてくれた、過去と現在のすべてのブリタニア人に感謝したいと思います。 このファミリーの一員でいてくれて、心から感謝しています。

過去1年間、チームはUltima Online:NewLegacyの開発に尽力してきました。同時に、プレイヤーが参加できる多くの冒険を確保してきました。今週公開されたPublish 111で は、これから始まるエキサイティングな2ヶ月間の準備ができていることを願っています。 今後のイベントについては、下記の「ライブでの出来事」のセクションをチェックしてください。

Publish 111が完了したので、NewLegacyに戻ります。  プロジェクトを発表した際にもお伝えしましたが、New Legacyは、チームが10年以上にわたって着手した最大のプロジェクトです。ギアプログレッションループ(Katana of Vanquishing anyone? )の最初のパスを終えたばかりで、 皆さんが多くの疑問をお持ちなのは承知していますし、『New Legacy』への関心は昨年から高まっています。 次回のUO: NL Dev Hangoutは11月を予定しています。

秋のライブイベントシーズンに入ると、触れておきたいポイントがいくつかあります。 まず、これまでは誰かがアイテム複製しているのを見つけても、そのプレイヤー1人だけを禁止していました。 今日から、もしあなたのキャラクターの誰かがアイテム複製をしているのが見つかった場合、マスターアカウントが禁止されます。 あなたのアカウントには1年間の猶予は与えられず、再開することはできません。

もしあなたの家が10年以上前のものであれば、Mesanna@broadsword.comに電子メールを送ってください 。バナーを配置させていただきます。メールには、シャード、ファセット、XYZの場所、家の名前を忘れずに入れてください。

一部のEMアイテムがtransmogで利用可能であり、他のアイテムが利用できないのはなぜですか? 

これまでに様々なEMアイテムが開発されてきました。 それらのアイテムには様々な性質があるため、すべてのアイテムをトランスモグに制限することはできません。 最終的には、これらのアイテムは現状のままで良いと考えています。 プレイヤーは、制限されていないEMアイテムにトランスモッグ・ポーションを使用する際には注意が必要であることを知っておくべきである。 もし、それらのアイテムが壊れたり、名前が変わったり、元の状態から変化してしまった場合、我々はそれを元に戻すことはできません。

Producer Notes

Greetings Everyone,

On September 24, 1997 a new age in computer gaming was launched.  Thousands of adventurers from around the globe embarked to build a new life in a massive virtual world.  Now, 24 years later, Ultima Online continues to be a place where adventures are had, friendships are forged, and maybe a few frustrations can be played out with your closest friends!  The UO team would like to thank all Britannians, past and present, for forging a legacy that continues on from generation to generation.  From the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU for being part of this family!

Over the past year the team has been hard at work building Ultima Online: New Legacy while also ensuring that players on live have plenty of adventurers to participate in.  With this week’s release of Publish 111 we hope you are ready for an exciting couple of months ahead!  Be sure to check out our “What’s Happening on Live” section below for a full lineup of upcoming events!

Now that Publish 111 is complete we are full steam back on New Legacy.  As we mentioned when we announced the project, New Legacy is the biggest project the team has embarked on in over a decade.  We’ve just finished our first pass on the gear progression loop (Katana of Vanquishing anyone?) and are now working on the next major gameplay loop – crafting and resource acquisition.  We know you have lot of questions and the interest in New Legacy has only built since last year.  We are targeting November for our next UO: NL Dev Hangout so keep an eye on UO.com for a link to the live stream!

As we move into the fall live event season there are a couple of points I want to touch on.  Firstly, in the past if we caught someone duping we only banned that one player.  As of today if any of your characters are caught duping the master account is going to be banned.  Your account will not be given the one year reprieve so you can reopen it.

We are happy to report that we are still running the historical house program, so if your house is 10+ years old email Mesanna@broadsword.com and I will be happy to get the banners placed.  Please remember to place the Shard, Facet, XYZ location, and house name in your email.

Also, for the fall our Dev Meet and Greets will be held on TC1 and we invite all players to attend and ask questions.  We are also exploring new ways to interact with the community beyond our in-game meet and greets.  So keep an eye on UO.com for future hangouts and round tables.

We would like to inform you that there is an email issue in regards to Microsoft email domains, including @live.com, @hotmail.com, @msn.com, @passport.com, and @outlook.com.  EA Accounts that use the above domains are currently not receiving account update notifications, such as account closure, etc.  Additionally, when you are contacting Billing and Technical Support at , you are supposed to immediately receive an auto-reply email. If this is not the case, then you can ensure your email provider is not allowing our replies to come through. The best way to bypass this issue at this time is to contact us from a non-Microsoft email address at , while we are waiting on a resolution. If you do not have a non-Microsoft email at this time, please email us at

Why are some EM items available for transmog and others are not? 

There are a variety of EM items that have been created over the years.  Due to the varying nature in those items we cannot restrict all of them for transmogrification.  Ultimately – these items should remain as they are.  Players should know that they should exercise caution when using the transmog potion on EM items that are not otherwise restricted.  If those items become broken, renamed, or otherwise altered from their original form we cannot do anything to revert them.

Can we add a blessed container for instruments such as the book straps?

We are currently building out our Vet Reward lineup for 2022 – so stay tuned to see what we come up with!

Will Books of Lore be craftable? Can we get more information in tooltips for those items?

In Publish 111 we added the Book of Lore to Inscription and updated the tooltip information that is displayed when mouse-over those items.  Look for new stories coming out in “Treasures of Demonic Forces”!

Will the Potion of Glorious Fortune be returning for Treasures of Demonic Forces?

Yes! Look for it in the UO Store beginning with that event!

ACCOUNT RECOVERY VERIFICATION

For the billing support at support@ultimaonline.com to sufficiently verify ownership of an account you wish to recover, information that is currently set on the account has to be verified. Please note that account recovery requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

If a secret word is saved on the desired account(s), we will be happy to provide the secret word hint(s).

Accounts that have been closed within the last year require the secret word and 2 pieces of information.

Accounts that have been closed for more than a year require only the secret word, if a secret word is not set then 3 pieces of information are required.

Information used for verification are as follows:

  • Account name
  • Email
  • First and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Phone number
  • Key codes
  • Payment information (CC)
  • Date account was open/closed
  • State/country

ACCOUNT RECOVERY AND GENERAL ACCOUNT, BILLING OR TECHNICAL RELATED ISSUE
To recover an account, please email support@ultimaonline.com so that the Billing Support has a ticket in the system. Keep an eye out for the automated reply requesting account verification for the Billing Support Team to assist further.

PASSWORD ISSUES
To reset your password you must first understand which type of account you are resetting the password for.
EA Accounts, Mythic Master Accounts, and Mythic Product / Game Accounts all have separate individual passwords. All of which you can reset at our Account Center at https://accounts.eamythic.com/.

•  To reset your EA Account password:
       * Please visit https://signin.ea.com/p/web/resetPassword
       * At the EA page enter the email used to log into your EA Account to change its password.
       * If you have not received your password or have received an error while trying to reset the password and you have disabled all spam filters, please contact EA Support here.
 
TERMINATED ACCOUNTS
If you have an account that was terminated by CS over a year ago and would like to have it back, please contact the Dispute Team from the email associated with the account at dispute@ultimaonline.com for further investigation and a possible one-time reprieve.
 
IN-GAME SUPPORT

EA ORIGIN – ORDERS, CODES, AND THIRD PARTY RESELLERS

Sovereigns Coin Codes purchased from EA Origin have to be redeemed on the Account Center; you cannot enter these in game.
Sovereign Coin Codes that have been redeemed are bound to the EA Account they were redeemed on and are only usable by the accounts linked with that EA Account; Sovereign Coin currency may not be transferred.

If you are having issues with your EA Origin purchase, follow this link to resolve the issue.

CODE PURCHASE DELAY
You may have noticed that Origin Store purchases made did not arrived as expected. The Origin Store enacts reviews on all transactions to safeguard against fraudulent purchases, and these reviews may take up to 72 hours. Unfortunately our Billing department is not able to expedite or circumvent this process. However, players who have questions or concerns regarding a store purchase can contact Origin Support for assistance using the below steps:

2)  Select topic* – select Orders
3)  Select issue*
4)  Click on “Select contact option
5)  Sign in with your EA Account or click on “Get help from an advisor without logging in.” if you’re having trouble signing in.

THIRD PARTY RESELLERS
We would also like to reiterate that the Origin store is the only guaranteed provider of codes for Ultima Online. The validity of a code purchased from a third-party seller (be it a friend, in-game acquaintance, or recommended site) cannot be guaranteed. Furthermore, any codes we find to have be fraudulently obtained will be disabled and an account that applies any of these codes will have that code removed from said account. This can result in the loss of game time, character slots, expansion access, Sovereigns (and the items purchased with them), in-game items and more. Please be advised that we cannot assist with any issues stemming from codes purchased via non-Origin means; you will be required to contact the vendor from which you purchased the code for further assistance.
